“How Software Eats Architecture”

I discuss the history and future of Architecture through the lens of software, and how creators can work with technology to develop more valuable Architecture.

I provide specific examples of key problems and solutions backed with practical industry experience, such as quality control and producing accurate and efficient representation & documentation.

I avoid the subjects of aesthetics and taste as measures of Architectural value in favor of KPIs such as cost and comfort.

I avoid discussing the formal and spatial possibilities enabled by technology, such as the ability to more easily realize complex surfaces and assembles, in favor of more meaningful implications, such as the role of automation.
